Fabulous Friday 2019, XLV

Happy November!

Last weekend I went to Savannah for a craft fair. Got a few Christmas gifts. Had lunch with a friend. Also unfortunately had to air up a flat tire and have it repaired.

I started my orientation on the floor this week. Phew, going from not working to three 12s in a row was rough. But glad to have a long stretch this weekend.

Mainly, I went to yoga, straightened the house and rested these past two days.

We had a few trick or treaters and it was fun. Next year I might have to make friends with someone who gets many trick or treaters and hang out.

The weather is smashingly beautiful today. Cool, bright and sunny. We took down our destroyed gazebo. Just when the weather was perfect.

One of my greatest adult truths. Unapologetically do you. Tell everyone else to stay in their lane. Of course being you cant harm other people. Putting up my new ocean Christmas tree harms no one so judge not. It is not perfect but not bad for $40.

We have enjoyed watching the snowbirds drive their big boats down the ICW.

Happy Weekend! Enjoy!

Happy weekend! Can you believe we are entering the holiday stretch.

Spent a few days last weekend celebrating this beautiful woman and her husband. Detroit was much prettier than I imagined.

Found this beauty in our yard. Such fun to find things we you move.

I started hospital orientation this week. I think I am going to love the small town, home town. I thought I was immediately going to orient on nightshift but blessings of blessings I get to orient on dayshift. Honestly my mental capacity/reserve was not ready for the way nights messes with my body/mind. So I feel better already. Time to get the house in tip top organized shape and get meal planning under control.

I am TRYING to get this meal plan thing under control. Any ideas? I have been to the grocery three times this week. Well once was for shots but I still bought stuff.

Pumpkins and flamingos sums up life here. The weather has been gorgeous this week.

Heartwarming and beautiful.

Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Friday! Happy it kind of feels like Fall!

This will be so fun to see Bay Street have some Alabama touches.

The Shrimp Festival was last weekend. We went twice.

I visited one of my very best friends this week and her three precious girls. It is joyful to be their “Cupcake”.

I worked on a new recipe this week, pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls. I did not quite get it right but I should soon.

Also, made this pizza roll recipe which is delicious. It is now in the regular rotation. Great for Gameday too. Mine did not turn out as pretty but they were delicious.

I organized our linen closet.

This is cool to see.

Beautycounter Holiday launched this week. So much good stuff!

Happy weekend! Enjoy the Fall feels.

Happy Weekend! Its the Beaufort Shrimp Festival here and I am so excited.

Last weekend we returned from our cruise. Stopped by Mickey’s house. Thanks ti me seeing him post on Instagram we were able to met up with a friend from college. Isn’t social media great when things like that happen. Epcot was INSANE, so we watched the football game at ESPN Club and spent some time in Hollywood Studios before having Ohana for dinner.

Summer Sabbatical is coming to an end. I got a job this week. Here is to an easy night adjustment, a great work family and a rewarding job. Change is so dang hard for me even good change. But I was that girl in college who walked to all of her classes before the semester started. I like to know where I am going and what is ahead, which makes for a hard emotional state during things like new jobs.

I started doing a Fall transition on my flower beds. I ordered some Daffodils and Ranunculus bulbs to plant.

I am holding strong with no Diet Coke or sodas since Oct 1. What is your favorite caffeine? I would and plan to cut down but #nightshift.

My dad, aunt, granny and cousin came to visit. Goodness he has had me laughing so hard.

We did a dolphin cruise. It was probably mine and Ryan’s 4-5 time and I continue to highly recommend it.

Beautycounter Holiday releases next week. It is so good.

Happy Weekend!

Ryan and I celebrate six years tomorrow. Good grief time flies. Someone donated his wedding tie to Goodwill this Spring. I went to rescue it but couldn’t find it. I had one if his groomsmen/best friends send me his. You better believe I am wrapping that tie up to give to him for our anniversary. I know it is just a tie but silly as it is, it is still important to me. We have gotten into the habit of doing experiences (hello Disney Annual Pass) instead of gifts but I always get him a little something, even if it is just doughnuts and chocolate milk.

Melissa Urban’s Do the Thing Podcast on #mindright is really good.

We had a wonderful week floating around the Western Caribbean. More on that coming up!

Ummm. This Jamie and Claire article is all speculation but no thanks, Diana Gabaldon.

I am waiting to go see Downton Abbey with my cousin because we watched it together when we were roomies. But gah I am do excited, I can not wait.

Powerful.

Happy Weekend!

Happy Friday the 13th and full moon! Praying for you medical friends.

We spent more time than intended in Boston this past weekend thanks to Frontier. I am glad we had a buffer travel day, often we only plan to arrive home the day before work starts back.

This week has consisted of unpacking, laundry, unhurricaning, and cleaning. Glad we made it through Dorian unscathed. Incredibly grateful Hunting Island didn’t have major damage.

I blogged our Cape Cod trip. I miss that weather.

This little boy’s story touched my heart pre Dorian. I am so happy his generosity and heart were rewarded.

Dorian washed up some shells. 😍 Grabbed some oyster shells to make a path around my raised beds.

I learned a valuable lesson in regards to the cookie dough bites. Use HIGH QUALITY butter only. One can tell a major difference between say Great Value and Kerrygold. Trust me. I am a firm believer in saving money and buying generic but you get what you pay for sometimes.

I can’t wait to spend my Saturday cheering on my Tide!

Happy Weekend! Roll Tide!

Happy September!?!

The beginning of this week mostly revolved around hurricane prep. We were luckily already scheduled to be out of town. I pulled the outside objects inside, prepped what I could not move inside and prayed for the best. Luckily it looks like most of Beaufort came out ok.

What a wonderful young man! I hope he gets to Disney.

Riley Kate’s due date is 9/7/17. I got some #rikeykateslovies ready in preparation. Im sure some people think, you are still doing that? Yep, til the day I die. It helps me to feel her light continuing to spread throughout the world as well as honors my own light and feelings. As well as spread some love, because the world always needs more of that.

Friday on the way home from Charlotte I stopped at TJs to grab some more dark chocolate almonds. We are making DIY protein snack packs for Ryan’s work snacks and we add a few of those. I also hit the jackpot because they gad pumpkin Kringle. It freezes well so I grabbed two. I actually got to go twice this week! We stopped by in Cape Cod too.

Check out our Lofoten Island trip recap.

Chocolate Tree’s All You Can Eat Night. enough said. Next year I will be more prepared with a plate. Some people legit had a glass of milk with a straw and a plate on top. Like the straw went through the plate.

We left Monday for Cape Cod. Most exciting, seeing my sissy. We haven’t seen each other since Memorial Day! It was a fun trip and the weather was perfect. More on our trip soon. Give us all the lobster rolls.

Downton soon!!!

Happy for real football weekend! I am so excited.

Last weekend, Ryan’s parents came to visit. We spent some time together strolling the streets of Beaufort and driving around to scope out different house areas.

The three of us climbed the Lighthouse at sunrise. We left Mr Night Owl at home. A rainy but beautiful one.

We had a few nest inventories this week. Im sad it will be over before we know it.

Im trying to make a list of what we will pack for hurricanes. Obviously we can not take everything. I want to put the stuff we do want to take into easily grab-able boxes. I figured the things we take for a tropical storm will be less and different from what we take for a higher category. Any ideas or advice? Always the important documents. Maybe always the yearly photo albums. Maybe higher category the Christmas ornaments. I have some sentimental family stuff too. NEED. A. PLAN. AND. A. LIST.

Thursday, I had a football tailgate kickoff party with my little cousins. Ill post more details on our graze board. I posted the Team Spirit Cookie Dough Bites on Tuesday.

Lindsay Letter’s is a creator I have been following for years. Her daughter has a traumatic brain injury. I have been following and praying for sweet Eva Love. But mainly my point in saying this was to commend the other women in the Instagram business community who have lifted them up by using their social media platforms to raise awareness and money. It is simply beautiful and a great reminder of how much we need each other in life. We were not made to live life alone and seeing women raise each other up and support each other is inspiring.

New nails! So ready for football!

Ryan and I started making Ryan a homemade, DIY version of these. Anyone do anything similar? Have tips or inspiration to share?

Happy Weekend!

Its the weekend! Most likely the kids are back in school and routines are falling into place. Don’t you just love routine?

Last weekend we went to visit our friends in Tampa. We strolled along the Bay, played board games and visited Ybor City.

We visited the museum there. It was so interesting. Immigrants came from Cuba, Sicily and Jews from all over. Its so interesting to see how they all brought there different cultures. For example, the Cuban sandwich! German pickles and mustard. Swiss cheese. Italian salami. Cuban ham and pork.

It was fascinating to learn about the cigar factory. Basically it seemed like a mini city. The factory owned the houses surrounding. The workers eventually could own the houses. There were clubs for that provided things from entertainment to medical care. Those clubs are still operational in some capacity today.

We ate at Big Ray’s. Visited a cheese and wine bar. And had a great time visiting.

We made a short pitstop on the way home. I mean it was practically on the way home.

Speaking of. This lady is #momgoals.

I had a couple of nights of nest inventories. The sky was showing off all around.

This is legit. Ready for some college football. RTR.

I made a quick trip to Alabama to visit family and scoop up this girl. We are ready for a few days of turtle adventures before school starts. She also said she would help me clean out the pantry! She had planned and decorated a birthday party for me since she was not with me on my birthday.

Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors released their new album Dragons today. Go check it out!

Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Weekend!

It has been a busy week around here. We had a few nest inventories with hatching season really gearing up. Praying for some and some babies when Em comes back to visit.

We had dinner and went to a nest inventory with my Uncle, Aunt and cousin who were visiting Fripp from Ohio. It was good to catch up.

There was a beautiful double rainbow during some of the inventories.

I had a hummingbird visit my feeder. I can not believe it. I have had the feeder up since April and finally in August I get one! I hope it comes back and brings friends.

I found a cute platter for football weekends. Its on sale. Im gearing up for a football kickoff party with my younger cousins.

Ryan and I paid $150 for a martial test and got a free gazebo out of the deal. Ha! Seriously it took both of us working over two hours to get this done. Now I want one of those zero gravity chairs to go in it.

I finished season 2 of Mrs. Maisel. It took me a bit to get into it for some reason but I totally am excited about Season 3 soon.

Someone I follow on Instagram posted she put out free flowers from her garden. Our street is quiet so I put together some bunches and took them down to the water front park.

I keep forgetting to do the weekly “happy”, memory, or celebration. But I guess these post highlight alot. Id say dinner with family and my hummingbird visitor.

Savor your Weekend no matter if it holds a break or work.
