I love to shop local always. This year I am sharing a few of my favorites. Some of them are not local but small shops I love. Also, some of these are women (like my Beautycounter) selling products. Yes the company is big in some cases but you are still supporting a woman and her personal small business. Here are a few websites of my favorite boss babes. Continue reading “Shop Small Saturday”

Don’t pray for ease, pray for endurance.
The good life always requires good bit of endurance. The only way to the best life is endurance through the hard things.
And this is true: Endurance does more than bear hard things — it turns them into good things. There is no other way to keep enduring.
Pouring out your heart — is what will actually hold your heart together.
Pouring out your life — is what will elevate your life.
Rotting places — can be places of streams of living water

Loving Lately: Fall Edition
It does not feel like Fall yet in Alabama, but I am longing for cooler, cozier days.
I love the fairytale pumpkins. Increasing in popularity you cab find them almost anywhere pumpkins are sold. Trader Joe’s and Leaf and Petal are two local places I know have them.
Nothing says Fall like soup and this slow cooker Cream Cheese Chicken Chili is easy and delicious. We recently used some of the leftovers to make nachos to spice things up a bit.
Fall Paper Plates from Target.
A tartan scarf in Outlander colors yet please.
Paula Deen’s Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars.
Nothing says Fall like booties. I have been eyeing these Seychelles for a while.
I fun indoor twist on Smores. Spoiler alert it contains Reese’s.
This Colorful Turkey by BronwynHanahanArt. She made him for me our first Thanksgiving in our house. She has other lovely Fall choices and all the other Holidays.

We attended the Georgia Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Remembrance Walk this past weekend. This beautiful song was preformed by Mark Miller.
Loving Lately Football Edition
“Explaining the myriad delights of a football Saturday in the South to anyone who has not enjoyed them may be impossible – like trying to describe the ocean to a blind man.”- Tim Heaton
In honor of attending the SEC home opener this past weekend, here are some favorite football products.
I think this Roll Tide shirt is the cutest.
I purchased this Shop Ashley LeMieux Perfect Tee in Nashville last weekend. Its the perfect shade of crimson.
Classic crimson and white shakers will always have a place in my heart but I love this Shimmer Shaker too. PS: Yes they are called shakers not pom-poms around here.
Saturdays are for dressing in your in your finest not matter how hot it is. These Kendra Scott earrings are available in a perfect crimson, grey or pretty pearl.
Natalie Chang Studio has all kinds of cute cups and napkins for your tailgate and parties.
I love wooden utensils but these football ones are especially cute.
Lipsense has a pretty crimson and last through then entire day tailgating. If you are not a Roll Tide girl there are plenty of other options.
Admittedly I have been to Gallettes more times as an alumni than and undergrad. All that Greek life was intimidating not to mention I don’t care for it with one atom in my body. But stopping by with people I love dearly post grad and people watch proves to be fun. Here is a supposed similar version of there signature Yellowhammer cocktail. I’m guessing its right on track.
These sausage crescent roll ups are a tailgating go to.
My surprise inside brownies are another family tailgate favorite.
Loving Lately: Homewood Love
Three15 Studio is located right up the road from my house. I have been attending classes since mid-June. I love rotating through three different types of exercising. It makes the class go by faster. It is also a challenging workout. If I never lose a centimeter off my body its still worth its price in gold for the mental aspect. It is one of the few places in the world I can completely shut off my thoughts about the outer world, even if it is because I am concentrating on not passing out. Check it out if you are in the Birmingham area. Your first class is free.
