Loving Lately: Christmas Decor
Decorating for Christmas is one of my favorite things.
Our stockings my Mama made and painted for us, many years ago. Plus Ryan’s addition.
I am a real tree girl all the way. I prefer Fraser Firs from the Spruce Pine, NC area.
A majority of decor in my house comes from Leaf N Petal in Birmingham, Al. They have the cutest home decor and it usually is not outrageously priced. I also get my garland and wreaths here.
In all honest, I do not own a tree skirt. I just drape some fabric around the floor and tree stand. It works perfectly but I am ready for a tree skirt. I like the popular Corrine Tree Skirt from Joss and Main. I might try to sweet talk my Mama into making a similar one but perhaps with a little more sparkle.
Ryan was on to something when he bought the stuff to make me a tree stand out of a galvanized bucket. Tree Collars are the new thing to have this year but I think I would prefer his handmade with love one.
Vintage Shiny Brite ornaments are beautiful to me. I can not stand the new shatter proof ones with the plastic line on them. Unfortunately, vintage equals not cheap.
We had a tree topper similar to this silver tinsel star when I was little. I bought it to put on my tree the years we do colored lights.
I made this wreath this year and I am so glad I did. It really brings everything together.
We do not have a fine china set but I do collect a different Christmas place setting every year. I could not possibly settle on one Christmas pattern so I decided to mix and match. I might get this Royal Albert Country Rose this year. Bernardaud Grenadiers has also been on my list for a while.
I want this classic Stewart Tartan table cloth. I love the red one as well but since our dining room is painted red, I like the white better.
