Epcot does not have a ton of rides but what it lacks in number it makes up in quality also food, duh.Soarin’ is one of my favorites. I have no love in my heart for roller coasters but I do love Soarin’ and do not even get me started on Flight of Passage more on that later. Fast pass is a must.
Test Track is a favorite of Ryan and Em. I could easily not to do it ever, but I can handle doing it because I love them.
The Seas with Nemo and Friends and Turtle Talk with Crush are also favorites of ours. Usually if we can snag a fastpass for them we do but they are not required. There is also a play area, aquariums to explore and bathrooms located in the same building.
Frozen Ever After opened in Norway a few years ago. It’s a fun boat ride up to Elsa’s ice castle. It has two “drops” one backwards and one forwards. Both more gentle than Pirated in my opinion. Long lines. If this is on your or your little princess/prince must do list GET THE FASTPASS. If it isn’t a must do then skip it go for Soarin’ or Test Track and hope you can snag a Frozen later in the day. Our last two trips we were able to do this.
Most people head to World Showcase in the evening so most rides are walk on or shorter waits (except Test Track and Soarin’). I would recommend heading to snack around the world as soon as it opens and then plan for a late afternoon/evening of riding rides.
Sooo just pick a country and start snacking your way around the world. Seriously. Especially if it is during the Food and Wine Festival, the Flower and Garden Festival, or the Holidays, there are extra stations set up with specialty menu items. Do your research on Disney’s Website, Disney Food Blog, or other blogs. Have a list of things you want to try. There is no way to try them all in one day. Especially if you are trying to ride rides as well.
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie our favorite. A must do. Our favorite menu items include: the raspberry/lime macaron, Tartine Aux Fromages (it has goat cheese), Croque Monsieur and anything really you can not go wrong.
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is located in Norway. I like the School Bread.
We have only done one table service in Epcot since its so easy to snack your way to a meal. We did Akershus Royal Banquet breakfast for Em’s birthday. It was a good character dining experience and breakfast was good. Also located in Norway.
We have never eaten Le Cellier Steakhouse but we did have the cheddar soup and the filet mignon at the Food and Wine Festival. Both were drool worthy.
I also love stopping in Karamel Kuche in Germany for a sweet treat.
Voices of Liberty is a group of a cappella singers that preform in the American rotunda. Beautiful voices and shows last about 15 minutes.
There are many character experiences in Epcot that are not offered anywhere else. Mary Poppins, Belle in her blue dress, and Auroa to name a few. Check your My Disney Experience App or paper guide for times that day.
Impressions de France is a video with good seat and air conditioned. Located toward the back of the France area. I do enjoy the video as well.
Flight of Passage. We waited two hours and forty-five minutes to ride this ride. It was amazing. We would wait that long to do it again. We arrived to the park at 9 and where through security and in line for Flight of Passage at 917 am and then line was still that long. WORTH IT. Fastpass is a must. Ryan the Fastpass master actually snagged us a fast pass later in the day as well so we got to ride it twice. Em loved it to. That and Mine Train are her favorite rides. Some people refer to it as similar to Soarin’….well the concept is the same but Disney knocked this one out of the park.
Kali River Rapids is another fun one. You will get wet. No shame in wearing a poncho. People do it all the time. I actually did the last time. I was physically miserable for other reasons and I wasn’t about to add being drenched to the list.
Up until Pandora opened Kilimanjaro Safaris was Animal Kingdom’s main attraction. It is neat to see the animals and hear about work Disney does to help conversation efforts.
We have not spent too much time in Animal Kingdom, but with the new addition of Pandora that will change.
Yak and Yeti is our go to quick service for a snack/lunch. We typically split something and then split something else later to sample different things.
We like the pulled pork mac and cheese and loaded fries from Flame Tree Barbecue. Last trip we had a late afternoon snack and sat for a while to rest.
We have not eaten at The Rainforest Cafe since I was little but I would love to try it again soon. I remember loving the decor when I was younger.
I am so happy Disney added a night time show in Animal Kingdom. Rivers of Light was beautiful and inspiring.
It’s Tough to be a Bug is a cute 3D film. Air-conditioned and a place to sit.
Finding Nemo the Musical is a Broadway type show with puppets. It last 40 minutes so plan ahead for snack times and other fast pass times. It is cute and also good seats and air.
Festival of the Lion King is another good show in Animal Kingdom.
Pandora is a wonderful area to walk around and take in the Disney detail. Make sure you stop back at night when the world becomes illuminated.
