A Weekend at Home
A few weekends ago (ok maybe it was even a month ago!) Ryan and I spent the weekend in Birmingham. We love to travel to see friends and family but I have to say it was wonderful to spend a weekend at home! We made an effort to get out and about to participate in some Birmingham activities.
Friday night Ryan and I went to El Barrio. I had a watermelon margarita which was pretty tasty! I had the chorizo meatloaf for dinner. I have to say my favorite was the cheese dip made with goat cheese.
I went to Pepper Place Saturday morning and found some wonderful produce!
I think the best part was being able to use my new tote bag!
I wish I could go to the Farmer’s market everyday or at least every week.
Saturday we went to Avondale Brewery for Trunkstock. I had a basil strawberry lemonade from the Spoonfed truck.
I have to say one reason I like Avondale so much is because of Miss Fancy.
Ryan and I both had pizza from the Slice food truck. I would like to try it again sometime.
Later in the week I was able to pick up these beauties from the Summit farmer’s market. It will be awhile before we are able to spend another weekend in Birmingham but I look forward to it.
